Young boys arrested for aggravated robbery

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Three children, barely out of elementary school, were arrested on aggravated robbery charges after deputy constables say they held up women at knife-point, demanding cell phones and wallets.

Precinct 5 deputy constables were called out to Arthur Storey Park in SW Houston Thursday morning.

"The victims were walking on the trail and the suspects approached them from behind, held a knife to their throat and tried to take their wallet and their cell phones," said Sgt. Ed Hinojosa.

He says the women refused to hand over their belongings, and, after a scuffle, the kids ran off.

Deputies later found them hiding at an apartment complex on the other side of Beltway 8.

The kids are aged 12, 13, and 13. Deputies are still searching for a fourth suspect.
