Katy ISD teacher accused of improper involvement with student

KATY, TX (KTRK) -- A Katy ISD teacher was arrested for allegedly having an improper relationship with a student, authorities say.



According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, the mother of a 17-year-old Katy High School student contacted authorities Friday night and requested a deputy come to her home regarding an inappropriate relationship between her daughter and a teacher.



The suspect was identified as William Robert Massie, 30, of Katy. Massie is a science teacher at Katy High School.



Massie was contacted and he agreed to meet at the sheriff's office for further investigation. During the interview, he admitted to two sexual encounters with the student.



Massie was taken into custody Saturday night. He was arrested on a charge of inappropriate relationship between an educator and student, a second degree felony. He remains in the Fort Bend County Jail under a $30,000 bond.
