Motorcycle accident shuts down Westpark Tollway EB at Fondren

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A deadly motorcycle accident had the Westpark Tollway eastbound lanes shut down at Fondren for hours this morning.

The crash happened at 9:57am. Video from Skyeye HD showed the motorcycle is in pieces across the toll road.

According to the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable's Office, the motorcyclist was speeding eastbound on Westpark when he struck two cars and crashed. The driver died at the scene. His identity has not been released, but he is described by officials as only a black male in his 20s or 30s.

Traffic was diverted behind the wreck while all lanes were closed.
