BUENA PARK, California -- A man who was trying to make donuts was shot by an armed robber, and it was all caught on surveillance camera.

The clerk at Modoo Donuts in Buena Park was working around 1 a.m. Wednesday when two men rushed inside, one of them carrying a gun, Sgt. Mike Lovchik told KCBS-TV.

Surveillance cameras were rolling when one man leaped over the counter, demanding cash from a store employee.

In the back of the restaurant, a struggle between a baker and one of the robbers ended in gunfire. The baker was struck in the neck by a bullet, sending the armed suspect fleeing from the scene.

One suspect is described as a black man wearing a dark sweatshirt, and a bandanna over his face.

His accomplice was described as being a black or Hispanic man, wearing a light sweatshirt and also a bandanna over his face.
