HOUSTON (KTRK) -- She may well be the best-known ballerina in the nation. This weekend, she will be right here in Houston.
Misty Copeland is the first African-American principal dancer with American Ballet. Here in the Bayou City, Copeland will dance Cinderella with more than a hundred kids from around the city.
"For them to be able to see two black dances portraying Cinderella and a prince is remarkable," Copeland said.
Her prince is fellow ABT dancer Calvin Royal. The ballet superstars will perform Cinderella Thursday and Friday night at the Hobby Theater. Tickets are still available for both shows.
