Megan Rion told ABC News that Maggie the fawn appeared when she was taking photos of 1-month-old Conner at Sam Houston Jones State Park in Louisiana on Oct. 20. Rion says the deer has appeared in several of her shoots in the past.
"We've seen her in about five different photo shoots," Rion told ABC News. "I didn't even know she was going to show up at the spot where I like to take pictures at."
The photographer uploaded picture of the wild encounter to her Facebook page, where it was shared over 1,300 times.
"I think it made it a great work of art," Rion said. "It's gotten way bigger than I thought it would be. In the first 24 hours it had already gone viral."
Rion called the experience "magical" and said she plans on returning to the same spot for future sessions in hopes the deer will return.
