Man found shot to death at Baytown apartment complex

BAYTOWN, TX (KTRK) -- A man was found shot to death at a Baytown apartment complex, police say.

It happened just before midnight at the Baypointe Apartment complex in the 800 block of Northwood Drive near Garth Road.

When officers arrived, they found a young male lying on the ground. The male, identified by police as 26-year-old Eugene Scott, appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound.

Witnesses at the apartment complex told detectives a black male wearing a white hoodie was seen running from the scene after the gunshot was heard.
