Man rescued from garbage truck in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTRK) -- A man had to be rescued from a garbage truck in El Paso Tuesday morning.

City employees say the 23-year-old was in a homeowner's recycling bin when the dump truck picked it up and threw the man inside the truck.

Crews heard the man in the truck and said they could see him in the truck's container through cameras.

He had a skull fracture and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

It's not clear why he was in the recycling bin.
