ROCK 'N ROLL: Kingwood kids come face to face with KISS
SUGAR LAND, Texas (KTRK) -- There was electricity in the air as some kids from Kingwood took center stage during a KISS concert in Sugar Land.
KISS invited students from Kingwood High School to their concert at Smart Financial Centre, putting a spotlight on fundraising efforts to help the district recover after Harvey flooding.
"I just couldn't believe it at first. I didn't think the actual band KISS," said 17-year-old theater student Devan Karp. " I felt like I was dreaming."

Sugar Land Mayor Joe Zimmerman donned his own KISS makeup to welcome the band.
"We got a council meeting next Tuesday," Zimmerman said, with a laugh. "I sure hope I still don't have it on."
The kids got to meet the band, taking pictures afterwards and thanking them for their attention to Harvey relief.
Even though the band started 30 years before these guys were born, many said they knew who they were.
Kingwood High School was badly damaged by Harvey, with several feet of water that flooded several parts of the campus. Students are attending Summer Creek High school for now.
"I was really apprehensive and very nervous about it at first," said 14-year-old freshman Neha Shaw. "It's different but not so bad because I'm my friends and everyone."
