MIDDLE TWP., N.J. -- A house in Middle Township, New Jersey fell victim to flood waters late Friday night.
A Facebook photo sent to Action News showed a house in the grassy sound area in peril, reportedly dislodged from its moorings.
By night fall the situation deteriorated and the house slid into the waters.
Saturday morning as the sun came up, only a portion of the house was visible. It appears the rest of the house is submerged in the bay.
Overnight, strong onshore winds, rain and high tides, a bad weather trifecta pummeled shore points.
Wind whipped waves blasted over sea walls, while bay side water bubbled up through storm drains.
Dozens of blocks of coastal towns saw knee deep flooding.
The storm conditions brought water onto the White Horse Pike in Absecon, forcing it to close.
In North Wildwood at 26th and Delaware, an eatery became an island surrounded by water.
Up and down the coast, residents who are veterans of other weather events knew to move cars out of harm's way and prepare for the storm.
Action News reached out to authorities regarding the house, but information won't be available until Monday.
