Face of God stares down in Midtown mural, holding spray paint

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The face of God will soon stare down over people and businesses in Midtown.

A new mural is taking shape, taking inspiration from Michelangelo's famous "The Creation of Adam" on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Except in this version, God is holding a can of spray paint.

Graffiti artist Sebastien Boileau and two assistants have spent more than a month creating the largest mural in Houston. Set to be unveiled at 2800 San Jacinto, the mural is about 180 feet wide and 60 feet tall. That's almost exactly the same size as an Olympic swimming pool.

The artists have used more than 500 cans of spray paint and 150 gallons of wall paint.
