NEW YORK -- Could blood from human umbilical cords be the key to unlocking the fountain of youth?
According to researchers at Stanford University, mice injected with stem cells from umbilical cord blood had improved memory and learning.
The researchers also found that the brain tissue of the tested mice was revitalized thanks to the injected stem cells.
Scientists say that these results offer a possible glimpse into how these cells could be used one day to reverse the effects of aging in humans.
