HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston's first distillery is celebrating its grand opening.
Visitors enjoyed free tours and tastings at Yellow Rose Distilling on North Post Oak. The company produces four varieties of whiskey and recently launched a vodka.
They're all locally produced and sold in nine states and Washington D.C. While Houston has several breweries, yellow rose is the first legal distillery in the city limits.
"No one's ever seen a distillery. So we wanted to bring a still inside Houston to show people how we distill products, how we barrel it and how we bottle it," said Ryan Baird with Yellow Rose Distilling.
The 10,000 square foot facility will be open for public tours Thursday through Saturday.
