THE WOODLANDS, TX (KTRK) -- It was a final goodbye this morning for a fallen Patton Village police officer.
Sgt. Stacey Baumgartner was remembered in a touching service at The Woodlands Church. Family and colleagues paid their final respects to their brother. There was also a flyover in his memory.
Sgt. Baumgartner was killed Sunday, as was an 11-year-old boy, during a police chase in Montgomery county.
Today's funeral included eulogies by the mayor of Patton Village as well as Baumgartner's brother.
We spoke with one of his fellow officers about how Baumgartner would have felt about the touching service.
"Today is probably gonna be the longest day we've had because we lost a brother and he is so great and we already miss him so much," said Lt. Carolyn Prickett with the Patton Village Police Department. "My officers are all holding out good, but we all have our moments."

Baumgartner leaves behind a two-year-old daughter and an older son. His wife is a 911 dispatcher in Patton Village.
Eleven-year-old Adhan Hilario was riding in the vehicle that hit Baumgarter and also died in the crash. A vigil and balloon release is planned for tomorrow evening at Splendora Jr. High School in his memory.
The suspect at the center of the chase is now facing charges of felony murder, intoxicated manslaughter and intoxicated assault.
