WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA -- The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department continued Monday an investigation into a shooting at a nightclub in West Hollywood that injured three people, including rap mogul Suge Knight.

Witnesses and security cameras could be the key to determining who opened fire during a MTV Video Music Awards pre-party hosted by singer Chris Brown at the packed 1OAK nightclub.

"I was just trying to take a video of him dancing and trying to tell my friends, 'Look, it's Chris Brown,'" said Karla Kreidie, who witnessed the shooting.

Kreidie got her video of Brown, but he wasn't dancing. She captured the moments following a shooting.

"I heard something really loud and I pressed the button still not processing what was going on," Kreidie said.

People were running and screaming after a gunman opened fire on the first level of the nightclub. Three people were wounded.

Frightened after hearing at least four shots, Kreidie ran to her table and got on the floor.

"I took cover and I watched the video and saw it was Chris Brown getting back on his table after the gunshots were fired," Kreidie said.

Authorities have interviewed Suge Knight, who is the founder of Death Row Records. He suffered five gunshot wounds, but is recovering.

Kreidie, a resident of Virginia, said she had been excited about going to a Los Angeles nightclub and getting a chance to see celebrities.

"It was my first time experiencing L.A. nightlife and for this to be the way I experience it, it's just ridiculous," Kreidie said.
