Church in Sugar Land cancels Sunday service to give back to those in need

SUGAR LAND, Texas (KTRK) -- A church in Sugar Land is cancelling services this Sunday to go help people in their community.

This weekend, Parkway United Methodist church members will take on more than a dozen projects in Richmond, Rosenberg, and Sugar Land.

The congregation will do everything from bingo at a senior citizen home to half a dozen home repair projects.

The repair projects will include homes damaged by Hurricane Harvey.
