HOUSTON (KTRK) -- From NASA spacecraft to Super Bowl 51, there's a lot of Houston pride on display at CityCentre this week, all in the form of sculptures crafted with canned food.

Using 100,000 donated cans (and a handful of small bags and boxes), local architects, engineers and construction firms pitched into 'CANstruct' two dozen sculptures that express the importance of making sure nobody goes hungry this holiday season.

For the twentieth year, the cans were collected by the Houston Food Bank. After the exhibition ends on November 13, all of the sculptures will be dismantled and the food bank will distribute the food to families in need.

In 2015, the food bank collected 125,553 canned goods that were distributed as 98,971 meals. The event was co-sponsored by PODS of Houston.
