HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Houston Auto Show how runs Wednesday through Sunday, and more than a dozen cars are making their world debut right here in the Bayou City.

700 cars will span 700 thousand square feet of exhibit space at NRG Center. It's your chance to see, touch, and feel the coolest new cars and trucks on the market.

"When you come to the Houston auto show, it is your chance to really narrow down your purchase decision of what you might want in a new car this year," said RoShelle Salinas, public relations director with the Houston Auto Dealers Association.

Representatives will help answer your questions and demonstrate all of the newest features. You also have the chance to get behind the wheel and test drive 70 different models, making the event your one-stop shop for car buying.

The highest MPG car of any vehicle manufactured, the Toyta Prius, is on display. Toyota will also show the 2016 Rav-4, available for the first time this year as a Hybrid.

"We are so excited because one of the things you get right off the bat is you get a compact SUV that gets 34 miles per gallon in the city," said Toyota representative, Rick Humphreys.

Nearly twenty models are making their debut here in Houston, including the sleek Italian Alfa Romeo Giulia, a four-door sedan from the Italian sports car brand, and the 2017 Ford Raptor Pickup.

Houston Auto Show tickets are $12 dollars for adults, $5 dollars for children 6-12 years old, and free for children 5 and younger.
