Police officer helps child fix bike
A Lufkin police officer came to the aid of a neighbor whose bike tires had gone flat.

LUFKIN, TX (KTRK) -- A police officer recently came to the aid of a neighbor, and the entire thing was caught on a dashboard camera.

In a Facebook post, the Lufkin Police Department explains that Christopher, the young man in the video, lives with his father next door to police headquarters. Christopher routinely stops by police headquarters to chat with officers and ask how their day is going.

During one of Christopher's visits, Lt. David Campbell noticed that Christopher's bike tires frequently went flat.

Lt. Campbell then helped Christopher repair his leaking tires, and footage of their exchange has garnered over 1,000 shares and 100,000 views on social media.

"Making one person smile can change the world. Maybe not the whole world, but their world," the department says.
