SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- It's been more than two days since six members of the Stay family, including four children were killed execution-style inside their Spring home.

On Saturday, an entire community will come together and honor the family.

The celebration of life ceremony begins at 10am at Lemm Elementary, where two of the youngest children attended school.

Saturday's ceremony will include music, prayers and a launch of hundreds of balloons.

Eyewitness News has learned relatives of the Stay family will release a statement at today's event.

Meanwhile, the one surviving member of the attack - 15-year-old Cassidy Stay is with her extended family today. She was released from the hospital on Friday.

Cassidy was shot in the head, and despite her injury, she was still able to tell deputy constables who killed her family and that he planned to kill her grandparents next.

Investigators say her actions saved her grandparents.
