Several handbags swiped from Tootsies in Upper Kirby

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The high-end Upper Kirby women's boutique, Tootsies, was the target of burglars early this morning, with several purses snatched from the business.

Houston police say around 4am, burglars appear to have smashed the glass front door, crawled in, and swiped a number of bags from the store.

Officers responded to the store in the 2600 block of Westheimer near Kirby after an alarm went off.

It's unclear at this time whether surveillance cameras captured the theft.
