HOUSTON (KTRK) -- We're learning new details about the man accused of fatally shooting two men outside Northwest Mall early Monday morning.

Apolinar Aparicio-Mendez, 32, faces capital murder charges after police say he gunned down Pedro Sanchez, 24, and Juan Sanchez, 29, outside the Chapa night club.

A violent fight outside a night club kills two at Northwest Mall.

Houston police say a group of men got into a fight with the victims as they were exiting the club, which shares a parking lot with the mall.

Aparicio-Mendez is accused of pulling up to the group in his silver Chevy Silverado, taunting them from out the driver's window.

Officials say one person has died after a violent night club shooting at Northwest Mall

At one point, police say Aparicio-Mendez pulled out a gun and opened fire on the men before speeding off in his truck.

Some nearby security officers who saw the shooting chased the suspect down at the Northwest Transit Center, where they held Aparicio-Mendez until police could arrive.

Police say he admitted to his role in the shooting.
