Roderick Earl St. Julian is charged with endangering a child after allegedly leaving his girlfriend's 7-year old boy at a park. Investigators say on Friday, St. Julian told the boy's mother he was taking him to a cell phone store. The boy's mom called police hours later when the two did not return.
The boy was found unharmed and reunited with his mother that same night.
The boy's mother said St. Julian, 43, is a recovering crack addict. He has several prior arrests, prosecutors said.
Police have not identified a second suspect in custody.
