Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who caused a chain reaction crash near downtown Houston.

Six people were taken to the hospital after the accident, which happened around 12:30am Sunday on the Southwest Freeway near Texas 288.

Police say a pickup truck was weaving in and out of traffic when it crashed into the back of a car, sending it to the right shoulder.

That car crashed into a second car, causing it to spin and slam into a wall.

Three people from each car were taken to Ben Taub General Hospital. Their conditions were not released.

Police said the driver of the pickup did not stop.

They are still trying to track down that person, but there is no vehicle description at this time.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
