Alsbrooks took the exit ramp to the I-10 East Fwy. westbound, but HCSO deputies on scene said he was going too fast for the curve in the road.
The man lost control, left his lane and slammed into the metal guardrail along the edge of the shoulder.
Investigators said Alsbrooks was thrown off the motorcycle and the bike kept going for about 200 yards down the ramp and into the grassy shoulder.
He was wearing a helmet, but it was not a full helmet and he hit his face on the guardrail. He died at the scene.
