Thieves targeting churches during tough times

The Grace Church of Humble is making security one of its top priorities these days. It was a recent target of a burglar. That thief was caught on its newly installed surveillance system. And it isn't the only church beefing up its security. Some local church leaders say crimes are increasing, so they're taking measures to protect themselves. Recent surveillance video from the Grace Church of Humble shows how one thief broke in not once, but twice, making off with three flat screen TVs.

Since the break-ins, the church has upgraded security.

"We have gates. We have cameras. We have alarm systems. We have armed guards," said Pastor Scott Jones with Grace of Church of Humble. "It's tragic that we do that, but we're going to take care of what the congregation has worked hard to purchase."

Church leaders say the crimes against them are a sign of the times, where nothing seems to be sacred.
