Thieves get away with $20K worth of eyewear

HOUSTON Now Crime Stoppers and the owners of that small family owned business are asking for you help.

A doctor that has worked in the Heights for years wants to continue to do so but he has to make some changes after what happened to his business

At the Yale Eye Clinic, someone busted the door, breaking in, in the middle of the night on August 7th. They stole $20,000 in Christian Dior, Prada, Polo, Donna Karan and Burberry frames. A big loss! Dr. Richard Ullman says he's not ever had a major problem like this and won't wait for it to happen again.

"We're getting a burglar door on the back, to stop -- actually, what we have now, is wood paneling where the locks go down, and that's how they were able to break it down," said Dr. Ullman. "We're going to put a burglar door with metal."

If you have any information on this crime, you can call crime stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. You can remain anonymous, and could get a cash reward of up to $5,000.
