Train strikes and kills pedestrian in Houston's East End

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- One person is dead following a crash involving a Union Pacific train in the east of downtown Houston.

Houston police say the incident happened around 4:44 p.m. Saturday at Sampson at McKinney Street.

According to police, the pedestrian was dead when officers arrived at the scene.
