A federal judge has ordered the man charged with placing pipe bombs the night before the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol to remain detained pending trial.
"We know it can be a difficult decision to report information about family or friends -- but this is about protecting human life."
The FBI has shared a photo of the person responsible for placing the suspected explosive devices outside the RNC and DNC Wednesday, prior to the U.S. Capitol protests.
The device is one of two suspected explosives found during violent protests Wednesday.
Authorities said they ended up having to evacuate the neighborhood after finding explosives during a drug bust.
Cesar Sayoc had been scheduled to go on trial this summer on charges that he mailed explosives to 16 targets, and although no bombs exploded, each new report of a device found heightened the tension in the weeks before last year's hotly contested midterm elections.
