Tiny little girl wins RodeoHouston Mutton Bustin' contest
Kenzie Smith wasn't quite sure how she won, but it sure made her dad proud!

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The latest RodeoHouston Mutton Bustin' champion could be scratching her head this morning.

When tiny Kenzie Smith stepped on the contest field at NRG Stadium Wednesday night, she hoped to go the distance, and that is exactly what she did.

The little girl from Lipan, Texas rode across the Mutton Bustin' field for a score of 89.

When contest host Patti Smith asked her how she did it, Kenzie shrugged and said, "I don't know."

Her father, team roper Patrick Smith, said he was a little freaked out.

"Most nervous I've ever been in the Houston arena, I can promise you that," Patrick Smtih said. "I've been here 15 years, I think, ropin', and my heart's never been beatin' like it was when she got on."

Little Kenzie says she hopes to grow up to be a roper just like her dad.
