Another JJ steals the spotlight at NRG Stadium
JJ Leonard strode away with a big win and a dream of coming back to NRG to play football on the very same field

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- More than 75,000 people flooded NRG Stadium to see JJ in the house.

Not Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt, mind you, but JJ Leonard of Houston, who took home the top prize in RodeoHouston's Mutton Bustin' competition Thursday night.

He held on really tight until he just couldn't hang anymore, landing with a score of 87.

JJ said the secret to mutton bustin' is the same with bumpy times in everyday life: "It's about holding on."

The announcer said he wanted to grow up to be a businessman, but JJ sprung another surprise on his parents and Mutton Bustin' host Patti Smith.

JJ revealed he might just want to play football right there at NRG Stadium in the future, just like the Houston Texans.

"You're the most important JJ here tonight, so we're going to give you a belt buckle," Smith replied.
