4-year-old makes Harvey/ Houston Strong costume

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- As our city continues to recover from the devastating effects of Harvey, one little girl is embodying the spirit of Houston Strong.

Piper Springer attends Grace School where they put on a Halloween T-shirt parade. Each child is asked to make a homemade shirt choosing a topic of their choice.

Piper, 4, chose to make a Hurricane Harvey/ Houston Strong t-shirt. The costume is very detailed and each item on the outfit is significant her. Over dark clouds, symbols of Houston Strong are seen on the shirt.

The symbols include the Astros logo, the Houston Skyline and an image of downtown Houston. The city literally rises above the storm on her costume.
