Stores offering traffic-free shopping
Several businesses are helping you save time this holiday.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- No one wants to get stuck in holiday traffic, so why not leave the driving to someone else? Several businesses around town are helping you save time by keeping you off the streets.

River Oaks District is home to a variety of boutiques offering everything from kids accessories to handbags and fine jewelry, but the district's best amenity may just be the personal shopping services.

All you have to do is share your gift list with River Oaks District's personal shopper, Lisa Powers.

"I text you a picture, I give you pictures, I'll even bring things to your home," Powers explained. "You don't even have to deal with the traffic. Let me do that."

The service is free, including home delivery.

River Oaks District

The shopping center offers complimentary carriage rides, giving you a break from foot traffic.

"It's great for shopping, but it's also great for the kids," shopper Graciela Saldivia said.

Le Colonial

This restaurant offers a wide variety of special offers for holiday shoppers.

"This is one of our busiest seasons yet," Chef Hassan Obaye of Le Colonial said. "The restaurant just launched a new menu with French influences."

Bering's

The store may be known for housewares and gifts, but they are also offering gift wrapping services and delivery, keeping you out of traffic.

"Basically I am Santa Claus all year round, but it's special around this time. It just brings a big smile to peoples' faces," Bering's delivery driver Armando Alvarenga said.

Prices for delivery start at $5.

Pico's on Kirby

The restaurant offers curb-side tamale pickup.

"So you can just pull right up and you can just hop up to the curb and grab some tamales and then be on your way," customer Lainey Collum said.

Ooh La La bakery

You don't have to fight for a parking space at Ooh La La bakery's Cinco Ranch location because they built a drive-thru window.

Goode Company BBQ

On December 23 & 24, both Goode Company BBQ locations are opening a temporary drive-through for pre-ordered meals and their famous pies.
