Man killed, brother wounded in N.J. mall parking lot shooting

Authorities say the gunfire erupted around 1 a.m. outside the Hamilton Mall on East Black Horse Pike near the entrance to the Macy?s store.

HAMILTON TWP., N.J. -- A man is dead and his brother hospitalized after an overnight shooting in the parking lot of a mall in New Jersey.

Officers arrived to find a 20-year-old man from Atlantic City, N.J. who had been shot multiple times.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

They found a 26-year-old man from Clayton, N.J., identified as the brother of the deceased, who had been shot in the leg.

Medics rushed that victim to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division, where he was listed in stable condition.

The names of the victims have not been released.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately clear.

The investigation continues into a shooting outside a mall in Atlantic County, N.J.

The mall appeared to open at 6 a.m., as scheduled, for Black Friday shopping.
