HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said deputies have arrested two people accused of robbing an ATM in the Plano area last month.
On March 27, officials said the sheriff's office received a tip from the Plano Police Department about a burglary involving a 2025 white Mazda CXS and two suspects.
Deputies with District 6 said they located and monitored the vehicle and found that the suspects were heading south to the Houston area.
The drivers were identified as 31-year-old Jaylon Jones and 35-year-old Gertie Jones.
MCSO says deputies stopped the car for a traffic stop as they entered Montgomery County after seeing the suspects matched the given description and found a total of $15,854.00 in 20s.
Both suspects were taken to Montgomery County Jail and charged with money laundering, officials said, adding that there will be additional criminal charges related to the initial burglary as the investigation continues.
