
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- There are several movie theaters around town that offer deep discounts and even free showings during the summer.
The 2014 Summer Movie Express runs for 9 weeks with select titles playing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the summer. Admission to these films during the Summer Movie Express is only $1 and a portion of the proceeds goes to the Will Rogers Institute. The two Houston area locations are Edwards Houston Marq'e Stadium 23 & IMAX and the Regal West Oaks Mall Stadium 14 & RPX.

Studio Movie Grill in Houston has select movies in its Summer Children's Series for just $2. The movies are shown Monday through Friday at 11 a.m.

Santikos Free Summer Movie Series
On Tuesday, June 10, Santikos Theatres kicks off its 6th Annual, six week long, Free Summer Movie Series, providing parents, caregivers and children with free movies every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00am. This free event is open to the public on a first come, first served basis.The free movies will be shown at the Silverado IMAX and the Palladium AVX. Free tickets are available at the box office on the morning of the show.

Premiere Cinemas in Tomball offers free admission to two screenings on Wednesdays during the summer. Each movie will be shown at 9 a.m. and again at 11 a.m. for eight weeks.

Get a pass of 10 movie tickets for $5 or pay $1 at the box office for each movie. There are several locations in the Houston area to choose from. Movie selections and showtimes vary at each location.
All Alamo Kids Camp Series screenings are free! Tickets are available at the box office on the day of the show, and seating is first come, first served. The Mason Park and Vintage Park locations both participate in the Kids Camp.
