Spring man charged with wife's murder

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- A man has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of his wife in Spring on Sunday.

Harris County Precinct 4 deputies were sent to a home in the 5200 block of Gage Spring Court at around 5am. When they arrived, they spoke with Martin Gaytan,, 24, who told them that he and his wife, Monica, had a fight.

Martin says that during the argument, his wife pointed a gun at him. He says he took the gun and shot her multiple times.

Monica Gaytan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office investigated and charged Martin Gaytan with murder.
