
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department is investigating reports that skeletal remains were found in southeast Houston on Tuesday.
In a social media post, HPD said that Clearlake officers were at 10100 Minnesota Street investigating a call about skeletal remains being discovered.
According to police, the human remains were found by a brush-clearing crew. The police were notified of the discovery at about 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Authorities said HPD Homicide is overseeing the investigation, working with the Harris County Medical Examiner to identify the remains and determine the cause of death.
