HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A man has been charged with impersonating a federal agent, and authorities say he did it so he could park in a restricted lot.

Harris County Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen said Artis Davis, 54, repeatedly told a Pct. 1 sergeant he was a federal agent on his way to court and needed to park in the agency lot.

The sergeant determined he was not an agent, but instead a defendant, Rosen said.

According to charging documents, the incident happened Monday, the same day he was scheduled for an arraignment on terroristic threatening and criminal mischief charges.
