HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston area was well represented in the largest classification in high school boys' soccer at the state championships in Georgetown, Texas. It was Houston vs Houston in 6A Division I and 6A Division II.

Klein Cain wins back-to-back

Klein Cain was looking to win its second state championship in many years.

The Hurricanes faced Atascocita in the boys 6A Division I state title game. Atascocita was playing in its first state championship game in school history.

The Eagles outshot the 'Canes in the first half 3-1, but neither team scored in the first 40 minutes. In the second half, the lone goal in the game came from Klein Cain's Noah Ballard on a free kick with just under six minutes left to play.

Hurricanes' Donato Farina had three saves in the game, while the Eagles' Lincoln Ramirez had two. After the game, Klein Cain head coach Jerson Carrasco was surrounded by his two senior stars, Noah Ballard and Parker Glenn.

"Feels amazing, like I've said the last two years, they are super people, and also we have a ton of talent in Klein, but the work ethic of these guys, nobody can match them in the state, and that's why we are champions today," Carrasco said.

Ballard was named the championship game MVP.

"I don't think it's set in yet, but it didn't feel possible, but with God, anything is possible," Ballard said. "The amount of work our team has put in, the win is not only because of me, but it's also because of how many people we played."
