CHAMBERS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Sarah Hartsfield has been found guilty of murder in the death of her fifth husband, Joseph Hartsfield.

The video above is from a previous report.

On Wednesday, after deliberating for an hour, a jury returned with a guilty verdict for Hartsfield.

This case garnered national attention because of Sarah's past.

In 2018, she was investigated for killing her fiancé at the time in Minnesota. A grand jury decided it was self-defense, but after what came to light in Chambers County, that case was reopened.

During interviews with ABC13, former husbands and partners have described alleged patterns of abuse and threats.

As for this case, Hartsfield is accused of killing her husband of 11 months, Joseph Hartsfield, whom she said she met online. Records state Joseph died from complications of the toxic effects of insulin in 2023.

Nearly one month after Joseph's death, Sarah was charged with murder.

The next step in her case is sentencing.
