Investigators believe SW Houston mosque fire intentionally set

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Investigators now believe a fire at a southwest Houston mosque was intentionally set.

On Saturday, the Houston Fire Department upgraded the investigation to incendiary.

The fire broke out Friday afternoon at a mosque in a shopping center on Wilcrest. No one was hurt.

Firefighters said they were suspicious because the fire appeared to have more than one point or origin. They haven't said how it started, but firefighters say they're putting significant resources into the investigation.
