From burpees to bling: CrossFit marriage proposal goes viral

FRISCO, TX (KTRK) -- When her workout went to from routine to unexpected, one woman got the sweaty surprise of a lifetime.

Working out at a Crossfit in Frisco brought Amanda Habenicht and JP Eddings together, so it seemed natural for Eddings to take a creative approach to his proposal that worked in during a workout.

On June 28, Eddings got dozens of people in on the secret and broke into a dance number of his own when everyone else dropped to the ground in the middle of a set of burpees.

Since then, the video of the creative proposal has been viewed by thousands, surprising the groom-to-be.

Eddings told ABC News, "I had no idea it would get this type of response. I'm completely mind-blown and flabbergasted. I took the video to show family and capture the moment for us, which is the whole point, but apparently people can relate to my dancing."

The happy couple reportedly has not yet set a wedding date.
