Burglary investigation underway at Fourth Ward home, Houston Police Department says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police officers say they are responding to a burglary investigation at a Fourth Ward home on Monday morning, with one suspect reportedly still inside.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to a call about a burglary at about 10:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Ruthven Street. Investigators said one suspect entered the home and is the only person inside, while the homeowners are outside with officers.

HPD said the incident is not classified as a standoff at this time. Officers said they are waiting for additional resources, including a K-9 unit, before they enter the home.
