Andre Johnson gives back to Fifth Ward community in wake of Harvey

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Andre Johnson has always had a special place in his heart for the Fifth Ward Church of Christ.

Years ago, teammate Demico Ryans introduced him to the congregation. Throughout the years, Johnson has hosted Thanksgiving meals and other festive moments.

In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, Johnson distributed clothes, diapers, cleaning supplies and hot meals for the 5th Ward community.

"I'm trying to do everything I can to touch different people," said Johnson. "Some people are getting over looked. I am just here, trying to help out."
