
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A 16-year-old was detained after police say he shot and killed his sister's boyfriend in west Houston on Monday.
The Houston Police Department said the shooting happened on Richmond Avenue near Westheimer, just past Highway 6.
Investigators said the couple, who have a child together, had been arguing, and at some point, the woman's 16-year-old brother got involved and opened fire.
The woman's boyfriend was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Houston police said the teenager took off but was later arrested.
