14-year-old girl injured after being hit by car while riding bike in Atascocita area, Pct. 4 says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities say a 14-year-old was injured after she was hit by a car while riding a bike near the Atascocita area on Wednesday.

Shortly after 9 a.m., the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office said it responded to the incident near Madera Run Parkway and Lupine Meadow Lane.

Pct. 4 said the 14-year-old girl was hurt and is receiving medical attention at the scene, though the extent of her injuries is unclear.

Deputies said westbound traffic in the area is being impacted while the investigation continues. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
