Here's the timeline of events as they have unfolded.

Two Houston police officers have been hospitalized after an officer-involved shooting in southeast Houston. Here's the timeline of events as they have unfolded:

11:08am: An initial call of burglary in progress in the 8000 block of Sterlingame.
11:20am: The Houston Police Department heads to the scene. Before they arrived, another officer is flagged down in the neighborhood and told of a secondary burglary in the area.
Officers begin a perimeter.
After 11:20am: A tactical unit arrives on the scene
Around 12:20pm: Authorities receive first reports of officer-involved shooting in SW Houston.

12:40pm: Live video from SkyEye shows hospital-bound ambulances leaving the scene

12:42pm: HPD confirms on Twitter that two officers were injured and transported to local hospitals for medical treatment.
12:50pm: HPD chief Art Acevedo tweets; "On way to officer involved shooting if you're a person of faith please pray for our officers."
12:54pm: HPD confirms that one officer had been transported to Ben Taub and another to Memorial Hermann

12:57pm: Officers arrive at the two hospitals
1:25PM: A source confirms to ABC13 that the officer at Ben Taub is in stable condition while the officer at Memorial Hermann sustained more serious injuries
1:27pm: HPD announces that one suspect is still being sought and urges residents to avoid the area of the search
1:46pm: HPD confirms that both injured officers had sustained gunshot wounds.
1:51pm: In a press conference, Mayor Sylvester Turner identifies the officer at Ben Taub as Officer Munoz, who sustained a non-life threatening foot injury. Turner identified the officer in critical condition at Memorial Hermann as Officer Cortez, who had a bullet lodged close to his spine.

Turner added that police are still searching for at least two additional suspects in the gun burglary that set the afternoon's chain of events into motion. A third suspect in the burglary is confirmed dead.

3:35pm: HPD has issues an all-clear and cancels the shelter-in-place, allowing HISD schools to dismiss students.
