Truck drivers fight in the middle of I-10 near downtown Houston and it's all caught on tape.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Another instance of road rage turned violent was captured on video. The anger stopped traffic on Interstate 10 in downtown Houston.

The incident happened Wednesday morning on I-10 westbound. That stretch is part of Jose Cavazos' 30-mile commute. It got interesting about halfway in. Cavazos couldn't believe what he was seeing and what his dashboard camera recorded.

"It was very violent," Cavazos told Eyewitness News.

On the video, two 18-wheelers are seen driving side-by-side. Cavazos says one truck was trying to merge onto I-10. There were words exchanged through open windows between the two drivers, then a silver sedan cuts in front of one truck. The second stops on the freeway. The driver gets out and it escalates.

"He ran out and started attacking the other driver and a third person came up and started fighting them," Cavazos said.

A road rage incident in northwest Houston turned violent this morning, and the entire altercation was caught on camera.

The first driver pulls and pushes and tries to slam the second driver in the door. After the third driver joins in and a metal pipe emerged, Cavazos drove away.

"I felt like it was too close so that's when I moved on," he said.

Cavazos hopes the anger didn't lead to injuries and that his video can be an example of what not to allow happen.

"It's pretty shocking. I think it gets pretty crazy out there and people need to calm down. I try not to rage myself I think everyone should be a little more courteous."

Cavazos says he's surprised professional drivers would resort to this sort of thing.

There's word if the police got involved or if were ticketed.
