Royal ISD to remain closed the rest of the week

Royal ISD has announced they'll be closed the rest of the week due to flooding.

District officials say they've consulted with county leaders and determined that roads in some areas in the district may not be safe in the coming days. They specifically identified Sunnyside, Adams Flatt Road and Peach Ridge Road as spots that could pose dangers.

The district will resume normal operations on Monday.
